PREAMBLE
An Act further to amend the Assam Ministers' Ministers' of State and Deputy Ministers' Salaries and Allowance, Act, 1958. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Ministers, Ministers, of State and Deputy Ministers, Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby, enacted in the Thirty-Seventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title and Commencement :- (1) This Act, may be called The Assam Ministers, Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1986. (2) It shall come into force on the 1st day of September, 1986.
2. Amendment of Section 2 of Assam Act XV of 1958 :- I n the principal Act, for Section 2, the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "2. Salaries of the Chief Minister, the Ministers and the Ministers of State:--
There shall be paid per mensem; (a) to the Chief Minister a salary of three thousand rupees, (b) to each Minister a salary of two thousand seven hundred and fifty rupees, and (c) to each Minister of State a salary of two thousand and five hundred rupees."
