Disaster Management (Annual Report Of National Authority) Rules, 2006
Short title and commencement .-(1) These rules may be called The Disaster Management (Annual Report of National Authority) Rules, 2006. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Definitions .-(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Act" means the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005);
(b) "Annual Report" means the Annual Report of the National Authority under sub-section (1) of section 70;
(c) "financial year" means the financial year commencing from 1st April each year and ending on 31st March of the following year;
(d) "section" means a section of the Act.
Annual Report .-(1) The National Authority shall prepare its Annual Report and forward it to the Central Government within nine months of the end of the financial year for being laid before each House of Parliament.
(2) The Annual Report shall contain a full account of the activities of the National Authority during the previous year and the National Authority shall forward copies of the Annual Report to the Central Government and that Government shall cause the same to be laid before each House of Parliament. (3) The Annual Report shall include- (a) a statement of aims and objectives and vision of the National Authority;
(b) the role and functions of the National Authority;
(c) annual targets and achievements, in physical and financial terms, during the year to which the Annual Report pertains;
(d) the activities of the National Authority during the previous financial year; and
(e) any other information as the National Authority deems fit.
